Our waterproofing & restoration services
ARC Restoration and Waterproofing is a licensed general, roofing and waterproofing contractor based in San Rafael, serving San Francisco, Oakland and the Bay Area since 1981. We find where water gets in, repair what it damaged and restore multi-family and commercial buildings so they stay dry.
Straight answers
Do you work on single-family homes or only larger buildings?
Most of our work is multi-family residential and commercial: HOAs, apartment and condominium buildings, hotels and retail. We take on residential projects as well. If you are not sure your job is a fit, call and describe it.
Are you licensed?
Yes. ARC holds California State License #918452 with B1 general building, C39 roofing and C61/D51 waterproofing and weatherproofing classifications, and is a long-time member of the Sealant, Waterproofing and Restoration Institute (SWRI).
How do you find where a leak is coming from?
We start with leak analysis. Water often enters far from where it shows, so we inspect the wet area and the building above and around it, identify the entry point, and only then scope the repair. That is what keeps you from paying for a patch that fails.
How much does waterproofing or restoration cost?
It depends on the building, the cause and how far the damage has spread. We visit the site, identify the source and give you a written scope and estimate. On the 5800 and 5900 3rd Street condominium project, the additional work needed along the way was completed under the cost of the original bid.
Can you work with our HOA board, consultant or engineer?
Yes. On the 3rd Street condominiums the HOA's construction consultant scoped the work and selected ARC, and we completed the repairs, waterproofing and painting under that scope, including a new French drain and silicone roof coatings.
Where are you based and where do you work?
ARC is based at 5 Ross Street in San Rafael and works throughout San Francisco, Oakland, Marin County and the greater Bay Area.
A building you stop worrying about when it rains
The stains are gone, the garage is dry, the deck drains the way it should. The board has a report it can file, the tenants have stopped calling, and the next storm is just weather.
